I have been asked to stop publishing Raw-eating.

Hi everyone

As readers will know, I started serialising Raw-eating to honour the work of a wonderful man - AT Hovannessian. It has been a labour of love, for no payment, or reward save that of knowing I am helping to disseminate his (non-copyrighted) words).

Today I received the following e-mail, from John McCabe:

'At first Aterhov's family thought that what you were doing was okay, and they understood that you had good intentions. Then, I guess they thought they should simply stop everyone from publishing Aterhov's work in any form, including on Web sites, so they have asked me to get in contact ith you. They are very nice people. I will let them know that you took it down.

I think what they may be thinking of doing is putting out their own edition of the book, or maybe a Web site? Time will tell as we will see what they do.

They want to remain private and don't want people contacting them, that is why they have me acting on their behalf. They could very easily have an attorney handle it, but this is nicer. I hope.

They have asked me to find a copy of the original edition of 'Nature's First Law'. It is the edition published on April 20, 1996. I've been asking around. If anyone has a copy they would like to give up, they can send it to me and I will give it to his family. My address is:
John McCabe
c/o Carmania Books

Thank you for your work.

Peace.'

I have therefore decided to take down the posts, and, sadly, will not be continuing with the serialisation. However, I thought you should all know why.

I am sure you will all have your varying opinions on this, but - after some reflection - I will 'go with it'. For those who don't know, 'Nature's First Law' was authored by David Wolfe and two others. Claimed similarities between 'Nature's First Law' and 'Raw-eating' have been the subject of much internet discussion, on forums and otherwise.

Love

  1. Hi Debbie,
I really have appreciated your postings thus far.
Funnily enough, about two weeks ago, I had the thought to copy all your posts to save on my computer, but sadly was out of town, with very little internet connection, so I didn't get to.
But still I'm sure the info is logged in my brain, and thanks so much for taking the time to type all of it, feeling passionate enough about this very inspiring book, and posting. much appreciated.
Do you know where one can get an original copy?

    1. This book is available for free and in its entirety at archive.org

People will see that the author did not copyright his work, and rather than "aren't you lucky we didnt' call a lawyer", John McCabe in the letter above should actually have said "we couldn't enlist an attorney because we don't have a case"!

This is a very powerful book and deserves to go viral, worldwide. On reaching the end you will ask yourself why it never had a second printing, what happened to the author who published his book at his own expense in the thousands and sent them to every government on earth.

Raw food has the power to bring in a new age, to change the paradigm in which we live. This is the best book on raw food ever written. Please spread it around.
